Daily photo (20) flaky flames

Peeling window film reminded me of cartoon flames. A quick edit today; illness meant I had only two to choose from!

daily photo (19) net curtain shed

How many sheds have a net curtain? Not many, I suspect. This is at my in-laws in Norfolk. Apparently the net curtain went up on our wedding day, to screen the messy shed contents from the prying eyes of wedding guests!

Daily photo (18) Rachel at Holkam

Experimented with desaturating and high contrast processing, after a strong burst of fill when shooting. I think the effect accentuates the bright and breezy light out on the beach.

Silhouetted scaffolding makes an interesting form. Interesting to break the run of ‘late night’ shots. Shortly after this shot I got drenched by a deluge- the perils of the Norfolk coast!

Only just a picture of the day, this was an experiment in super-low-light macro photography. I think the high contrast and ‘grain’ suit the subject well.

Went to a gig in this rather spectacular venue. The elaborate lighting echoes the stained-glass windows and fancy architecture.

daily photo (14) by the light of the moon

A Canary Wharfer heads home late by the light of the moon.

Sunshine through the trees on our last day in Normandy. *[daily photos 10 to 13 are uploaded in a batch as I was internetless in the wilds of Normandy]

Daily photo (12)* Brewing up

Hubble bubble, toil and trouble: I liked the way the light caught the steam from Julian’s tea as he brewed up, ready for another 70-mile cycle.

Daily photo (11)* on the swing

Not a great day for photos- very few stops on our cycle across Normandy. I liked this one because of the sense of motion, and of Mark’s lanky frame whizzing across the landscape.
