Only just a picture of the day, this was an experiment in super-low-light macro photography. I think the high contrast and ‘grain’ suit the subject well.

I agree with you, the high contrast and grain work very well for the subject. Would probably make a great print.
I didn’t know spiders had patterns on them like that. Gorgeous. (I hope it’s OK to talk about the content of the photo, rather than the way it is taken!. The expertise can be daunting.)
