The Big Sail Home

In August 2025, I sailed a 23ft boat over 700 miles from Plymouth back home to the Firth of Forth. I posted updates as I sailed along – here they are in chronological order.

  1. Go Small, Go Simple, Go Now
  2. John Voyage! And We’re Off
  3. 👋Cheerio Will – Hello Waves 🌊
  4. A quick catchup on the past 5 days
  5. High and dry in Rye / Storm-bound in Dover
  6. Rounding some corners – the East Coast at last
  7. Sunny Southwold / Wrung out in the Wash
  8. Proper Yorkshire – straightforward sailing with a mix of harbours
  9. Are we nearly there yet?
